On 9 August 1999, the Chinese delegation was proposed to adopt WIPO's "World Intellectual Property Day". The World Intellectual Property Organization has partnered with various government agencies, NGOs, community groups and individuals to organize a range of activities and activities to commemorate World Intellectual Property Day.
